ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Environmental Education Program of the Parque Marino del Pacífico aims to promote and facilitate to the schools of the country, environmental education services aimed at raising awareness among users on the conservation and respect for marine and coastal resources.

It offers a variety of services that serve as educational tools for schools who wish to supplement their curriculum with topics related to marine biology.

Among the services provided by the Environmental Education Program, are educational workshops, many of which are created with the function to adapt to the curriculum proposed by the Ministry of Education. It offers a workshop each academic level with a specialist subject and applicable to marine biology.

There are also very entertaining environmental talks on general topics such as turtles, whales, sharks, seahorses, coral reefs, marine ecosystems, among others. These are aimed at the general public and structured according to the abilities and needs of different ages, so they can enjoy with family or organized groups. Only must be booked before the service.

This program seeks to familiarize people with marine species through recreational activities that encourage learning. It is also of great interest to the Parque Marino to provide information through which to inculcate the public respect for nature, especially toward the ocean's resources and take a broader view of marine biodiversity and the need for its conservation.
